Here the weaver transformed what is supposed to be a utilitarian weaving into a work of abstract art. The field is randomly embellished by amorphous forms in contrasting colours, in a manner that is not very dissimilar from Abstract Expressionist painting. Was she familiar with that period or is it a manifestation of her artistic sensibility?
