Although far from being abstract, this unusual zindhek displays a sequence of scenes, which are not immediately apparent in meaning. Taken as a whole it could be a representation of a village scene, yet focusing on each vignette informs us that something significant seems to be happening. Various female characters are depicted carrying out different practices. While one prepares tea, others seem involved in various aspects of animal rearing, while still others are shown with their spouses and families. The graphical arrangement of the story is strongly reminiscent of Paleolithic and Neolithic cave painting.
