The Ait Bou Ichaouen rugs from the settlements north of Talsint offer a more colourful version of traditional Moroccan patterns. Here the honeycomb lattice arrangement is punctuated by red and brown wool, which emphasise the pattern by means of a marked contrast against the ivory background.
