The honeycomb arrangement of hooked hexagons, with a pair of arrowheads on the top and bottom, reminds us of a pattern we see on certain pile rugs from the Transcaucasus. The rendition of the design seen here, together with the signature medachyl border and the regular multicoloured stripes of the back, are sufficient clues for us to attribute this fine example to the Qarabagh region.
