Very finely woven, this exquisite chanta is distinguished by honeycomb arrangement of stylised flowering plants contained within a diamond network. The flat-woven back shows an arrangement of horizontal stripes of differing width in a succession of colours which manifests the artistic talent of the weaver. In pristine condition, it indicates how she was perfectly at ease with both the ornamented as well as the minimalist aesthetic.
