Distinguished by a large central element obtained from a stylisation of the ‘Shou’ Chinese ideogram, symbolising infinity, this glorious carpet is further characterised by a soft taupe background with touches of soft lilac, where the pattern has softly faded over time. This is particularly noticeable in the Greek fret border as well as in the stylised dragon element in the corner. The distressed condition does not detract from the usability of this carpet, resulting in a very elegant weaving that speaks of timeless beauty.
