Here, the weaver made the best use possible of the materials she had available. The ivory background is dominated by a red and a blue element shaped like a heart, followed by similar, smaller coloured motifs, all worked in recycled fibres. The border, composed of a ‘salt and pepper’ mix of industrial yarns in contrasting colours, provides the ideal frame for the abstract composition to stand out truly.
