An unusual Persian modernist rug with a chequerboard design background in red and rose onto which is laid an all-over repeat pattern composed of a bouquet of roses in different colours. The ivory and black chequerboard design border imparts a strong geometric identity to the composition. Part of a pair, both quite finely knotted with beautiful soft wool.
