On this smaller, slightly coarser Hashtrud bag face, there is no use of cotton and the pattern is rendered in an abstract fashion, where the weaver changed her mind less than half way through the composition, abandoning the multicoloured contours of the hexagonal composition in favour of a simpler, minimalist effect. Was this the result of inexperienced weaving or is it an expression of artistic genius?
