‘Greige’ is a prime example of the textural rug collection designed by DMW Interiors in collaboration with the Alberto Levi Gallery.
A keen sense of beauty and timeless elegance are just two attributes that come to mind when thinking of Daniela Waiskol. She is the founder of DMW Interiors and a shining star on the Milanese sky of Interior designers. Her trademark is a layered, elevated understatement that surprises you with the detail and her great deal of respect for the materials, combined with a somewhat contrived patina. Entering her world makes your heartbeat slow down, calms your senses and opens you to feel with your eyes.
The warmth and organic variations of sustainable nettle and hemp lend these rugs a one-of-a-kind texture and patina. Spun by hand has, as a result, a refined feeling. The natural fibre’s characteristic slubs and twists imbue the hand-knotted patterns with rich complexity, tonal colour and imperfect symmetry.
The Textural collection, hand-woven in Nepal, is offered in two different natural yarns, hemp and nettle fibre, each in three different types of flat weaving.
