An extremely fine Senneh kilim distinguished by a cream white background filled with an exquisite rendering of the herati pattern. The diagonally arranged multicoloured elements in the border are characteristic of the earliest and finest examples. The rare Senneh kilims of this quality represent the luxurious taste of the Qajar aristocracy, and are sometimes depicted in paintings within a courtly context. A top example in mint condition.
