A very finely woven Chinese carpet of Peking quality, knotted with silky wool and distinguished by a very light palette. The open ivory background is uniquely decorated by a central flowering vase and framed by an aqua-coloured border with motifs taken from Chinese antiquities. It is a truly remarkable rug for its finesse and very refined palette.
