A rare early western Anatolian rug with a pattern derived from 16th/17th century Ushak ’Star Variant’ rugs, defined by a central quincuncial motif flanked above and below by a diamond-shaped element. The star and palmette border with stylised tracery is characteristic of this restricted group of Bergama rugs with early Ottoman field patterns.
