A rare Shahsavan pile rug, attributed on the basis of its single wefted structure, characterised by an infinite repeat pattern of stylised boteh motifs on a coral rose background. The use of Persianate motifs recurs quite often on specific Shahsavan weavings, as most of the tribe is located in northwest Iran.
