Finely knotted with glossy wool, this Qarabagh rug is related to the Chondoresk, Chelaberd and Kasim Ushag group also by its border, consisting of interconnected eight-pointed stars on an ivory background. The field design of polychrome Memling guls in compartments is seen on a number of Caucasian typologies. The intact condition of the piece makes it a pleasure to the touch.
