Very finely woven in wool of exceptional quality, this flat-weave belongs to a group of exceptional pieces which have been sourced in Iran at around the turn of the Millenium, all of which are distinguished by ikat-looking patterns constructed over four or more panels. The refined use of colour places these minimalist masterworks as one of the most sophisticated expressions of village and tribal Persian art.
