Karachop Kazaks have grown to become an icon of Caucasian village weaving. This rare red ground example has a number of distinguishing features, among which a soft, silky wool, a range of fully saturated dyes and a much larger format than usual, which allows more spaciousness in the pattern. The absolutely pristine condition enable us to fully enjoy the tactile qualities which make Caucasian rugs among the most popular weavings from the Near East.
