A rare French Art Deco rug, signed DTC, with a specular horizontal pattern composed of monochrome compartments beginning in ivory and ending in dark brown, with contours ranging from simple lines to zig-zag motifs. The earth tone palette derives from that of African textiles and Moroccan rugs, which were collected at the time by Parisian designers, proving to be a huge inspiration in rug design during the Art Deco years.
