A rare antique French Art Deco rug, signed DTC, with a specular horizontal pattern composed of monochrome compartments beginning in ivory and ending in dark brown, with contours ranging from simple lines to zig-zag motifs. The earth tone palette seems to derive from that of African textiles and Moroccan rugs, both of which were being collected at the time by Parisian designers, proving to be a huge inspiration in rug design during the Art Deco years.
