An exquisite cotton Agra woven in an allover pattern of delicately coloured polylobed tile-like elements set on an ivory background. Cotton Agra carpets find inspiration for their designs in the architectural motifs of flatwoven dhurries, and were woven in the jails of Rajasthan. Cotton rugs, also known as dulicha, were commissioned to adorn the rooms of the majestic palaces during the summer months, substituting the wool pile carpets which were stored away for the cooler winter period.
