This fine Amritsar carpet, characterized by a very unusual light green background, is distinguished by a small medallion with pendants layered onto a large cartouche acting and an open field. This cartouche is placed over an aubergine background filled with palmettes and arabesques, contrasting with the spareness of the open field.
