A highly refined Oushak rug distinguished by a stunning aqua blue background, embellished by an all-over pattern composed of large palmettes in light grey flanked by a network of elaborately drawn leafs in ivory and light brown. Designs of this type derive from the rich iconography of the Ottoman Turkish court, which has been the basis of most Oushak patterns throughout the 20th century.
