A mixed media Azilal rug, woven in wool, cotton, rags and other recycled industrial fibres to create a pattern of stacked niches similar to elongated caves. A long and narrow format emphasises the flame-like contour of the pattern. The rugs of this region are in my opinion among the most fascinating weavings of Morocco.
