A very charming miniature Berber rug, obtained by unfastening the front panel of a piled pillow case. This was hand-crafted by the highly inventive weavers of the Ait Bou Ichaouen tribe, located in Talsint province very close to the border with Algeria. The rugs of this tribe have always been distinguished by highly improbable color combinations played into a complex geometric substrate. The abstract pattern is arranged in blocks of horizontal square-like motifs, with a dominance of a saffron yellow colour. While examples such as this can be skilfully employed as highly original, accent scatter rugs, its diminutive format makes it also an ideal candidate for the wall.
