A diminutive masterpiece of flat-woven tribal art, distinguished by a dazzling chequerboard border framing an open field composed of natural camel wool. The apparently random arrangement of polychrome squares is reminiscent of the most refined inventions of the Bauhaus movement, yet is the material culture of semi-illiterate nomadic people, used as a presentation textile when hosting prestigious guests inside their tent.
