Rug Star – under this label, Jürgen Dahlmanns designs and produces luxurious, hand-knotted carpets featuring avant-garde designs. Diversity, movement, colour, quality, and story-telling patterns are the label’s mantras. Jürgen Dahlmanns doesn’t want to confine himself to one style – he is interested in the diversity of the living environments. Carpets have an architectural dimension because they create a room within a room without adding walls.
Designed in Berlin but hand-crafted in the Himalayan mountains, Like Love Light explores the adaptation of text within the space normally reserved for pattern, creating a message by assembling words in differing arrangements with contrasting textures. This is brilliantly achieved by employing the finest materials, woven at very high knot densities.
