Distinguished by a thick texture obtained through the reciprocal weft weave technique, this unusual salt bag shows a repeating small diamond pattern with colours arranged in horizontal compartments. The range of dyes employed is characteristic of the kilims woven by the Qashqa’i during the first quarter of the 20th century.
