Eze Kilim is part of our Modernist Kilim Collection. Kilims are part of a rich, centuries-old weaving tradition in Afghanistan, Iran, and Turkey. ‘Kilim’ describes pile-less rugs made using a flat-weave technique, characterised by spiritual and tribal patterning and rich colours. The special flat weaving techniques have been passed down through generations. ‘Kilim’ is a Turkish word, translated as “to spread roughly.”
Despite being around for thousands of years, their timeless designs still look fresh today.
Kilim patterns are not just about adding a pop of colour to modern interiors. They bring a global sophistication with an eclectic edge, inspiring creativity and adding a unique touch to any space. Their distinctive, non-pile flat weaves bring patterned energy into modern spaces, and marry particularly well with Mid Century Modern style furniture.
