I am always amazed by the amount of sheer artistry we sometimes see on tribal objects woven by people who had no concept of art. What are we looking at? One might see people gathering near a large central element, as if it were a memory of a ritual. The simple yet complex back of this diminutive masterpiece is a further indication of the aesthetic sensibility of the weaver.
