A very unusual Chinese rug, with a field entirely taken by a honeycomb arrangement of polychrome octagons containing squares, a motif taken from the iconography of the Kangxi period, framed by a cartouche and roundel border containing floral motifs. A sturdy texture typical of the Art Deco period.
