A truly special Tibetan meditation mat, quite possibly commissioned for a High Lama, decorated by the so-called brocade square pattern, a design based on the patchwork of silk brocaded textiles. It’s composed of three different brocade designs, framed by the pattern of the inner square, thus creating a pleasing three dimensional effect. Rugs of this quality are extremely to come by and represent the pinnacle of antique Tibetan woven art.
