This antique Qashqa’i Gabbeh rug, woven with natural, undyed wool, crisply drawn Gabbeh rug is ascribed to the Qashqa’i tribe located around the Shiraz area. Here, the extremely simple pattern composed of five interconnected stepped lozenges on an empty field resonates perfectly with the restrained palette of natural beige and browns. The result is a minimalist composition which adapts itself quite easily within the context of Modernist decor.
